Hal's Image Wins Unbridled for Rose Family

Homebred Hal's Image won the $100,000 Unbridled Stakes for 3-year-olds at Calder Race Course on Saturday for the Rose Family Stable and trainer Barry Rose.

Carlos Olivero was the winning jockey.

Hal's Image, a Florida-bred colt by Halo's Image defeated Talented Prince by 4 3/4 lengths and covered the 1 1/16-mile event in 1:48.89. Captain Lindsay was a neck farther back in third.

At odds of 9-to-1, Hal's Image paid $21.60, 10.60, and 7.20. Talented Prince returned $13.20 and $6.60.

A half-brother to 2000 Florida Derby (G1) winner Hal's Hope, Hal's Image has won one other race, a maiden special weight on July 12, 2004 at Calder. The victory nearly doubled his earnings to $126,820 in 16 starts.
