Woodford Reserve Bourbon has become a sponsor of TVG's entire schedule of 2005 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) related programming, both parties announced Thursday morning.
Among the shows Woodford Reserve will sponsor are "The Works: Derby 2005," "Live at Churchill Downs," "The Kentucky Derby Preview Show" and "The Kentucky Derby Wrap-Up."
"We're thrilled to partner with TVG for this year's Kentucky Derby coverage. The partnership is a natural fit for both parties, bringing together two great Kentucky traditions," said Tom Dempsey, national brand manager for Woodford Reserve.
Woodford Reserve is a product of the Louisville-based Brown-Forman.
In addition to sponsoring TVG's Derby related programming, Woodford Reserve will also be included in several in-show features. Among these features will be an examination of the new Woodford Reserve Stables. Launched earlier this month with the purchase of a yet-to-be-named 3-year-old filly, the stable invites fan participation via its Web site, www.WoodfordReserveStables.com
The following is a description of TVG Kentucky Derby related programming sponsored by Woodford Reserve:
"The Works: Derby 2005" – TVG brings viewers the workouts of the Kentucky Derby and Oaks contenders, as well as feature stories and interviews. The 30-minute show will air daily from April 30 through May 5 at 11:30 a.m. EDT. It will also be presented on several regional Fox SportsNet regional networks (check local listings).
"Live at Churchill Downs" – TVG will be on-site at Churchill Downs to cover live racing throughout opening week of the track's spring meeting.
