Veteran Equine Photographer John C. Wyatt Dead

John C. Wyatt, a veteran Lexington photographer who worked for Keeneland, died April 19 in Lexington. A Lexington native, he was 76.

Wyatt worked 40 years for the Lexington newspaper and 30 years for Keeneland, photographing personalities, horses, and race scenes at the picturesque track. He also assisted Keeneland photographer Skeets Meadors and was entrusted with the care of the collection of negatives in the Keeneland library.

Wyatt is survived by his wife, Mattie, and two sons. Memorial contributions may be made the person's favorite charity.
