Baseball Club Hosts Horse Appreciation Day

The Lexington Legends baseball club and Drexel Heritage are sponsoring a "Horse Industry Appreciation Day" during the Legends' game against the Lake County Captains April 30 at 7:05 p.m. Penny Chenery, owner of Secretariat is scheduled to make an appearance, and one fan will win an owner's share in a Thoroughbred racehorse donated by Governor Brereton and Libby Jones of Airdrie Stud.
Several Kentucky horse farms and organizations are coordinating the event. The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation is the featured charity of the night.
