Edited Churchill Downs press release
Trainer Nick Zito said Robert V. LaPenta's Andromeda's Hero, third in the Arkansas Derby (gr. II), will stay away from the Kentucky Derby excitement (gr. I) at Churchill Downs until just before the race.

The son of 2000 Kentucky Derby winner Fusaichi Pegasus   returned to Zito's barn at Keeneland Sunday evening following his solid effort in Saturday's race at Oaklawn Park and his trainer said on Monday that he would remain at the Lexington track to avoid the excitement at Churchill Downs in the weeks leading up to the Derby.

"He's going to train at Keeneland," said Zito. "He's a Fusaichi Pegasus and he's high strung. So we'll just leave him there at Keeneland and bring him to Churchill Downs a couple of days before the race."

Zito's four other Kentucky Derby hopefuls are stabled at Churchill Downs. He said that Tracy Farmer's Sun King, a disappointing fourth in the Toyota Blue Grass (gr. I), was doing well after that race.

Kinsman Farm's Bellamy Road, a dominating winner of the Wood Memorial, is scheduled to work on Thursday, April 21.
