The Sale topping 62,000 guineas Alzao filly out of Classical Flair showed strong demand for well bred fillies and mares, while competition for the early season yearlings mirrored the Tattersalls December Foal Sale. The top price of 34,000 guineas for the Mark Of Esteem yearling colt out of Festival Sister comfortably eclipsed the corresponding high priced yearling of 12,000 guineas last year ...Tonight's live standardbred racing card at Woodbine has been cancelled due to the inclement weather in the greater Toronto area. The decision to cancel live racing was made by Woodbine track management at approximately 1:00 p.m. when prospects for fair weather conditions for the greater Toronto area over the next several hours appeared remote. Simulcasting continues throughout the evening at Woodbine and its affiliated off-track locations. Live standardbred racing is expected to resume on Friday evening with first race post time set for 7:40 p.m....
