Television Games Network (TVG), the Race For Education and the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) have joined forces to offer a three-month summer internship with TVG's Production Department in Los Angeles for a college junior or senior (as of Fall 2005) studying broadcasting or journalism.

The full-time internship, sponsored by the NTRA and administered by The Race For Education, will run from June until August 2005. NTRA will provide a stipend to cover living costs.

Applications for the TVG internship will be accepted from April 11-25 and can be found at The Race For Education web site.

TVG and Race For Education representatives will select the intern based on the relevance of the student's studies and academic achievement. The winner will be announced on TVG in early May.

"Last year's internship in conjunction with The Race For Education and the NTRA worked out so well that we're really looking forward to doing it again this year," said Tony Allevato, TVG senior vice president and executive producer and a board member of The Race For Education. "It's always encouraging to see so many young people interested in working in racing broadcasting."

This is the second year the internship has been offered. Justin Horowitz, the first RFE/NTRA/TVG intern, is completing his junior year at Syracuse University, where he studies broadcast journalism.

For more information about the internship, contact The Race For Education at (859) 252-8648.
