Mambo Slew Works on Keeneland Turf
Trainer Patrick Biancone sent Mambo Slew to the Keeneland turf course Thursday morning in advance of her projected start in the April 17 Jenny Wiley Stakes (gr. IIT). The daughter of Kingmambo, who won the Sands Point (gr. IIIT) at Belmont Park last fall, received an official clocking of 1:34 on the firm track."She worked really good," clocker Tom Bridges said. "She finished very well." Biancone also sent out Flying Zee Stable's Formal Attire and Derrick Smith and Michael Tabor's Pomeroy, who worked five furlongs in company, with Pomeroy finishing best in 1:05 3/5. Formal Attire's time was 1:05 4/5.
