Wire Me Collect Filly Tops Evangeline Downs Sale

Gays Dream Girl, a daughter of the Clever Trick stallion Wire Me Collect, brought $44,000 to top the Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino 2-year-olds in training and paddock sale Sunday in Louisiana. Gerald Patin purchased the juvenile filly from Traders Rest Farm, agent. She was produced from the 10-year-old stakes-winning Fly de Naskra (by Carr de Naskra).

In all, according to an Evangeline press release, 49 horses passed through the sale ring, bringing a gross of $479,000 and an average of $9,776. The figures included buy-backs.
