Down Home Boy, a son of Valid Expectations, breezed an eighth of a mile in :10 1/5 Sunday at Lone Star Park in preparation for the Fasig-Tipton Texas sale of 2-year-olds in training. It was the fastest work at that distance.

Produced from the winning Regal Classic mare A. P. Princess, Down Home Boy is a half-brother to stakes-placed Foreign Press (by Foreign Holding). He is from the family of grade I winner Exchange and Canadian champions Steady Growth and Kingsbridge. Benchmark Training Center, agent, is the consignor of Down Home Boy.

The fastest worker at quarter mile was a Souvenir Copy – Between Friends filly, which covered the distance in :21.3. Her consignor is Safari Bloodstock, agent.

Dreamsrspecial, a Rail – K D's Dream Star colt, was the fastest worker at three furlongs, turning in a time of :33 2/5. His consignor is Pre-K Training Center, agent.
