Elusive Quality Heads Darley Australia Stallions

Sheikh Mohammed's Darley has announced its 2005 stallion roster, which will consist of 16 stallions at its Hunter Valley base in Aberdeen in Australia. Heading the group is Elusive Quality , who will shuttle once again from brother Sheikh Maktoum's Gainsborough Farm near Versailles, Ky., and stand for $110,000, double his 2004 fee. Owned by Darley, Elusive Quality (Gone West--Touch of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) was North America's leading sire of 2004. He was represented by champion Smarty Jones, winner of the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness Stakes (gr. I).
