Cash Is King Stable's Afleet Alex and Harry Aleo's unbeaten Lost In The Fog emerged as the favorites at the midway point of Pool 2 of Churchill Downs' Kentucky Derby Future Wager following the defection of the injured Declan's Moon.

Afleet Alex, winner of the Mountain Valley at Oaklawn in his 3-year-old debut, was the 6-1 favorite of bettors across North America as Pool 2 reached its halfway point with the close of wagering on Friday evening. Lost In The Fog, who has not yet been nominated to the Kentucky Derby and Visa Triple Crown, was the 7-1 second choice at the end of
Friday's betting.

Declan's Moon was declared out of the Derby running with a bone chip in his left front knee. Wagering was suspended on Declan's Moon before Pool 2 betting resumed on Friday. There are no refunds in the Kentucky Derby Future Wager.

A total of $111,033 was wagered during the first two days of KDFW Pool 2. Betting in the pool will resume at Noon (all times EST) on Sat., March 12. The pool will conclude its four-day run on Sun., March 13 at 6 p.m.
