Fair Grounds Names Simms to Community Post

Stacy R. Simms has been named to the newly created position of director of community relations at Fair Grounds Race Course, president and general manager Randall Soth announced Friday.

Simms spent nearly 10 years as director of community affairs and special events for the mayor's office in New Orleans.

At Fair Grounds, Simms will serve as a liaison between track management and a variety of segments within the community, including neighborhood associations, non-profit organizations and the political sector.

"We are excited to have Stacy join our Fair Grounds team," said Soth.
