Injured Kingmambo Expected Back This Weekend

, who has missed time in the breeding shed because of a leg injury, should be back ready to breed this weekend, March 5-6, at William S. Farish's Lane's End Farm near Versailles, Ky.
"He's much better, and I expect him back this weekend, Monday at the latest," Farish said Wednesday, March 2. "The swelling has gone down 75%."
A 15-year-old son of Mr. Prospector out of the Nureyev mare Miesque, Kingmambo came down with an infection after suffering a cut behind the knee. He had covered eight mares this breeding season prior to the mishap.
Kingmambo, who has sired 54 stakes winners, shares the second-highest North American stud fee, $300,000, with fellow Lane's End stallion A.P. Indy
