With Gary Stevens aboard, Rock Hard Ten worked in company with Panama Lane, going in a half-mile in :48.60 while Panama Lane was clocked in :49 flat. "He looked great," Mandella said of Rock Hard Ten. "He went the last eighth in 11 and change. He couldn't be better." Added Stevens: "It was perfect."
Meanwhile, Congrats blew out a half-mile in :48.20 under Tyler Baze. He went in company with Berbatim, who was timed in :48.40 under Alex Solis.
