Turf Champion Golden Apples' First Foal

Champion Golden Apples' first foal is a Storm Cat filly foaled Feb. 1 at Sheikh Hamdan's Shadwell Farm near Lexington and bred by the farm. Golden Apples is booked back to Storm Cat.
Seven-year-old Golden Apples (Pivotal--Loon, by Kaldoun) was 2002 champion grass female after winning the Beverly D. (gr. IT) and Yellow Ribbon (gr. IT) Stakes and the Santa Ana Handicap (gr. IIT). A grade I turf winner in 2001 as well, she retired with $1.6 million in earnings.
