Fillies led the way Sunday during the first under tack show for the Fasig-Tipton select sale of 2-year-olds at Calder Race Course in South Florida. Workers faced a stiff headwind, which kept the times being as fast as they might have been.

Marianne's Cat, a daughter of Tale of the Cat   -- Marianne's Song (by Unbridled's Song), turned in the fastest time for an eighth of a mile, covering the distance in :10 1/5. She is consigned by Don R. Graham/Ocala Oaks, agent. Her second dam is stakes winner Secret Imperatrice (by Secretariat), who is the dam of 2000 Louisiana Downs Handicap winner Sudden Storm (by Storm Bird).

Two fillies each completed a quarter mile in :21 2/5, tying for the fastest clockingat that distance. One was a daughter of Cat Thief out of the grade III winner Godmother (by Show'em Slew). The other was a filly by Grand Slam out of the multiple stakes-winning Seattle Sleet mare Silver Stockings. Hoby and Layna Kight, agents, consigned both fillies.

Fasig-Tipton will conduct its second and final under tack show for the auction on Feb. 27. The sale is scheduled for March 1, beginning at 11 a.m.
