Binya, who captured last year's The Very One Handicap (gr. IIIT) at Gulfstream Park, will be toting high weight of 118 pounds against 10 rivals in Saturday's Suwannee River Handicap (gr. IIIT) at Gulfstream.
The German-bred mare will only be spotting from one to five pounds to her opponents. In her five races since arriving from overseas, she sports two wins, both at Gulfstream.
Angela's Love, at 117 pounds, figures to get plenty of support by virtue of her victory in the Jan. 9 Marshua's River Stakes on grass at Gulfstream. She has won seven of her 15 starts, including last year's Gardenia Handicap (gr. III) at Ellis Park.
Snowdrops, the beaten favorite in the Marshua's River, is one of four weighted at 116 pounds. Bred in Great Britain, Snowdrops ran third in the Marshua's River. In her previous start, she was second in the Dec. 4 My Charmer Handicap (gr. IIIT) at Calder Race Course.
