Retired Claiborne General Manager William K. Taylor Dies

William K. Taylor, a former general manager at Claiborne Farm near Paris, Ky., died Tuesday in Lexington at age 87.

Taylor's employment with historic Claiborne started under farm owner Arthur B. (Bull) Hancock Jr. in 1957 and ended in 1975 when the farm was operated by son Seth Hancock. From there, Taylor went on to serve as general manager of Nelson Bunker Hunt's Bluegrass Farm, located near Lexington. He also established and developed Springland Farm in Central Kentucky.

Taylor's survivors include his wife, Barbara; sons William Jr., John, and Harry; and daughters Barbara and Rose Marie.
