The much talked-about sale of Buckram Oak Farm to Kendall Jackson winery owner Jess Jackson closed Feb. 4, an adviser to Jackson confirmed Feb. 7.
The farm, located at the corner of Old Frankfort Pike and Elkchester Road outside of Lexington, had been on the market by owner Mahmoud Fustok for many years.
Emmanuel de Seroux, an adviser to Jackson, confirmed the sale of the 469-acre farm. He would not confirm a price, but it was believed to be $17 million-$18 million, a top per-acre figure for the area.
De Seroux and his Narvick International represented Jackson in the purchase of 95 mares at last November's Keeneland sale for $21,724,000.
Fustok is in the process of moving his breeding operation to Florida.
