(from Gulfstream Park report)Jockey Gary Boulanger is still in critical condition at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood after suffering a spill at Gulfstream Park, but is showing signs of improvement, said his agent Cory Moran.
"His progress is likely going to be long and slow," said Moran. "He seems to respond to everything, but he hasn't been saying anything the last couple of days.
"But he's making progress. They've been trying to wean him off the medication – he was under a lot of sedation – and he's starting to feel uncomfortable. He's feeling a lot of pain, but he's making progress since the first night, when they told him he was 50-50."
