(from Gulfstream Park notes)Aventura Stakes winner High Fly will take the next step in the Florida Derby series Saturday by racing in the $150,000 Holy Bull Stakes (gr. III) at Gulfstream Park. Trainer Bill White confirmed that news after the colt's latest workout Sunday morning.
High Fly breezed Sunday morning at Calder Race Course, covering six furlongs in 1:14 2/5 over a fast track.
"We're good to go," said White. "He came out of his last race really good and there's been a full month to recover. That's plenty of time and there's simply no reason to wait another 30 days to race him again."
After the nine-length victory in the Aventura, White said the Fountain of Youth (gr. II) on March 5 would be the next stop for the undefeated son of
Atticus .
