Volponi is a filly born Jan. 21 at Lakland North, owned by Lewis and Brenda Lakin and Becky Thomas, near Hudson, N.Y. Bred by Dennis Narlinger, the filly is the first foal from the Proud Truth mare So Social.

Cryptoclearance--Prom Knight, by Sir Harry Lewis) scored his big win in the 2002 Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I). He stands at Rick Trontz' Hopewell Farm near Midway, Ky. His 2005 fee is $10,000.
