A half-brother to the record-setting, $4.5 million auction 2-year-old Fusaichi Samurai was foaled Jan. 16 at Dr. Tony Ryan's Castleton Lyons near Lexington, Ky. The colt, by
Grand Slam , and his dam, Hidden Storm (by
Storm Cat), are owned by Ryan's son, Cathal M. Ryan, who owns Swordlestown Stud in Ireland.
A son of
Fusaichi Pegasus , Fusaichi Samurai won as a 2-year-old at first asking Dec. 11 at Hollywood Park. Hidden Storm is booked to Fusaichi Pegasus.
