California Cup Classic winner Cozy Guy worked five furlongs on Santa Anita's fast main track Saturday in 1:01 2/5 in preparation for the $1 million Sunshine Millions Classic at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 29.

The 1 1/8-mile race is for 4-year-olds and up bred in California and Florida.

"We gave him a nice, light little five-eighths yesterday," trainer Dan Hendricks said of Cozy Guy, a 4-year-old gelded son of Alphabet Soup  . "It was a nice, smooth work. (Exercise rider) Luis Ortega thought he went great. He looked good doing it and it's all go."

Cozy Guy will be leaving Santa Anita Park, where he was won three times in five starts on the main track, including his three-quarters of a length win in the Cal Cup Classic in October. He ran third in the Sir Beaufort Stakes on grass in his last start on the Santa Anita turf Dec. 26.

Hendricks said assistant Francisco Alvarado, brother of jockey Frank Alvarado, will go to Florida to gallop Cozy Guy and remain to saddle him for the Classic.
