Sheilah Moore Rathbun, 81, Dies

Sheilah Moore Rathbun, 81, who with husband Henry operated a successful breeding and racing business, died of complications from emphysema at the Capital Hospice Inpatient Center in Arlington, Virginia, on Jan. 10.

Their home is in Middleburg, Virginia. The Rathbuns began breeding Thoroughbreds in 1968 with many successful runners, the most recent being multiple stakes winner Shiny Sheets.

Mrs. Rathbun, a native of San Mateo, Calif., is survived by her husband Henry "Duffy" Rathbun, a son (Gordon Rathbun of Saratoga Springs), two daughters (Jennie Rathbun and Sheila Ratbun Benfey), a brother (David Moore), and two grandsons.
