Churchill Downs announced Thursday that John D. Ryan has been promoted to director of development for the company. In his new position, Ryan will focus on the Company's development and strategic planning processes and will oversee special projects and studies. Prior to joining Churchill as a financial analyst in April 1999, Ryan served as a vice president for the Bank of Louisville, where he was responsible for the analysis of commercial loan requests...According to the Los Angeles Times, Hollywood Park, boosting prices for the first time in 10 years, will charge $10 for the clubhouse and $7 for general admission, which includes parking and a program. That's an increase of $1, effective next Thursday. Admission for the turf club on intertrack-betting days is $15...Scott Jester has been named director of media relations at Louisiana Downs. Jester previously worked in the track's media relations department for 13 years before relocating to his hometown of Hope, Arkansas, last February.
