TOBA to Hold New Owners Seminar At Tampa Bay Downs

The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association announced Tuesday that its New and Prospective Owners Seminar will be held at Tampa Bay Downs Jan. 16 and will feature topics on Thoroughbred ownership.

Featured speakers include trainer Layne Giliforte, owner Rob Murphy of M375 Racing, attorney Amanda Simmons, accountant Arif Shurdho of Ogle & Co., Jerry Parks of the Jerry Parks Insurance Group, and a presentation from The Greatest Game.

The seminar will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Party Suite at Tampa Bay Downs and include lunch, panel presentations, Daily Racing Form, and a day of racing.

The registration fee for the New and Prospective Owners Seminar is $50 for TOBA members and $75 for non-members and includes all support materials, admission, lunch, and presentations. Groups of four or more will receive a discount on the registration fee. Space is limited for this seminar. Registration for the seminar at Tampa Bay Downs will close at noon (EST) Jan. 14.

TOBA's next seminar is a New and Prospective Owners Seminar scheduled for Feb.12 at Fair Grounds in New Orleans.
