Undefeated Declan's Moon, the probable leader of the male 2-year-old division of 2004, is scheduled to make his 3-year-old debut in the $200,000 Santa Catalina Stakes (gr. II) at 1 1/16 miles on March 5, said trainer Ron Ellis Thursday.

The trainer is unconcerned about prematurely discussing the gelding being named the Eclipse Award winner as top juvenile male. "I don't see how they could not give it to him," Ellis said.

The Santa Catalina, which was previously contested in mid-January, has switched spots on the calendar with the one-mile San Rafael (gr. II) for 3-year-olds. The Santa Catalina is now part of the Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I) card.

Another promising young unbeaten Ellis campaigner, Don't Get Mad, is aiming for the San Vicente Stakes (gr. II) at seven furlongs on Feb. 13.
