Fees for Fusaichi Pegasus, Giant's Causeway Upped to $150,000

Fusaichi Pegasus and
Giant's Causeway , two of the leading freshman sires of 2004, have had their stud fees raised to $150,000 for the 2005 breeding season from their previous announced fees. Located near Versailles, Ky., Ashford earlier announced a fee of $100,000 for Fusaichi Pegasus and one of $135,000 for Giant's Causeway.
Winner of the 2000 Kentucky Derby (gr. I), Fusaichi Pegasus (Mr. Prospector--Angel Fever, by Danzig) ranked third on the freshman list and was represented by five stakes winners, included multiple grade II winner Roman Ruler. European champion Giant's Causeway (
Storm Cat--Mariah's Storm, by
Rahy) ranked fourth on the list. Three of his four stakes winners were European group winners, including Cartier Award winner Shamardal.
