Inclement weather led to cancellation of live racing Monday at Pimlico and Thistledown racetracks.

Maryland's Pimlico Racecourse cancelled live racing due to high winds that resulted in wind-chill factors hovering near the zero mark for most of the day. According to announcement from the track, there were 20 mile-per-hour winds in the Baltimore area, with gusts up to 40 miles an hour. The Monday card was expected to be the last at Pimlico before the track took a break in live racing until Sunday, Dec. 26.

Inclement weather was also cited for cancellation of racing at Thistledown, with the forecast in the Cleveland, Ohio area called for snow showers and a high temperature of 19 degrees, accompanied by winds from 5 miles per hour to 15 miles per hour.
