Kieren Fallon makes plans to winter in Florida.
Six-time champion European jockey Kieren Fallon has engaged leading agent Ron Anderson and will compete in Florida this winter.
Anderson, who also represents Jerry Bailey, said that Fallon is booked to ride at Calder on Jan. 1 and intends to ride regularly at Gulfstream Park.
"Kieren will be here the day after Christmas and will ride a horse for (trainer) Pat Byrne in the Tropical Park Derby at Calder on New Year's Day," Anderson told
Daily Racing Form. "He said he just thought it was time for a change."
Anderson said Fallon could stay in the U.S. after that.
Fallon lost this year's European riding title to longtime rival Frankie Dettori. Fallon was one of three jockeys arrested and was to face charges in April in connection with alleged race fixing, but the case has been dropped by the British Jockey Club.
He was also banned for 21 days for dropping his hands on Ballinger Ridge at Lingfield in March.
