Add jockey Ryan Fogelsonger to the list of reality television stars. A crew from MTV arrived at Pimlico Race Course Friday afternoon to spend the weekend with the 23-year old rider for the documentary series "True Life: I Want The Perfect Body II".

"We are planning on filming with him over the next three months," said MTV producer Pat Lope. "We are also following a female fitness competitor and teenage strongman. It will be an hour-long show tentatively scheduled to air in May or June. It will be a day in the life of Ryan. How he prepares his body for his job. We talked to about 50 jockeys around the country but Ryan stood out personality wise. He fits our demographic and has a pretty interesting story."

After never riding a horse until he graduated from high school in 1999, Fogelsonger has quickly climbed the ranks in the industry, winning the 2002 Eclipse Award as top apprentice and riding in the Preakness Stakes (gr. I) and Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships. In 2 1/2 years as a jockey Fogelsonger has 757 victories for earnings of $14.8 million. He will win the ninth riding title of his young career when the Pimlico fall meeting ends in two weeks.

"This is going to be fun," said Fogelsonger. "The good thing is they seem just as excited. They want to learn about our business and it is going to be a great experience. It is motivating me to add five pounds of muscle. The 11th ranked body builder in the nation is going to train me. I am 104-105 pounds today but would like to be 110-112."
