The TV Games Network and HorseRacing TV have announced new carriage agreements that will expand their reach.
TVG said Dec. 15 it has launched on Cox Communications' New Orleans system via the digital sports tier. Cox has offered TVG on several systems in California, Florida, Nevada, and Ohio.
New Orleans is home to Fair Grounds, one of the tracks carried on TVG.
On Dec 16, HRTV said it has signed a multi-year deal with Comcast for select systems in California and Maryland as part of a digital sports package. The company said the agreement creates a framework for future HRTV launches on other Comcast cable systems.
HRTV is owned and operated by Magna Entertainment Corp., the largest racetrack company in North America in terms of number of holdings. Like TVG, HRTV is headquartered in Southern California.
