HorseRacing TV (HRTV), a subsidiary of Magna Entertainment Corp. (MEC) announced Dec. 16 it had signed a multi-year agreement that provides for HRTV to appear on Comcast systems as part of a digital sports package.

Under the agreement, the initial Comcast launches of HRTV are planned for Maryland and Southern California. The agreement also creates a framework for potential future HRTV launches on additional Comcast systems.

"We're pleased that Comcast has recognized the value HRTV brings to their programming lineup," said Bill Bridgen, President of HRTV. "We are delighted that Comcast cable systems will now be able to offer HRTV's exciting daily coverage of live horse racing to Comcast's cable customers."

HRTV features television coverage of 14 racetracks owned, operated, or managed by MEC. The network also telecasts live coverage from more than 60 other racetracks in North America.
