Coolmore stud head John Magnier was elected an honorary member of the English Jockey Club.

Magnier will not have a vote, but it is an honor because it is generally only bestowed upon members of the royal family, Weatherbys, and those who have made significant contributions to racing.

Coolmore has grown into the leading breeding farm in the world, standing more than 50 stallions in Ireland, Australia, and the U.S. The farm helped pioneer the concept of shuttling stallions and is a major player a bloodstock sales around the globe.
