Robert J. "Bob" Quigley, 75, a retired New Jersey racing executive and Wanda Hooper, 69, widow of Hooper Farm owner Fred Hooper, are engaged to be married.
The wedding will take place Dec. 30 at The Church By the Sea in Bal Harbour, Fla., with a reception at Nando's Restaurant in Hallandale Beach. A small gathering of family and friends will be attending.
The newlyweds will reside in Hallandale Beach after a honeymoon in Nassau, Bahamas. When Hooper learned about the honeymoon she told her husband-to-be, "We can't go on the honeymoon until after opening day at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 3."
