Fond, a two-time stakes winner at Aqueduct, has been retired from racing with a record of three wins from 11 races and earnings of $113,661. Fond, who was retired because of an injured knee, won this year's Busher Stakes and last year's Open Mind Stakes for Dogwood Stable (Cot Campbell, president).
A 3-year-old daughter of Old Trieste, Fond is out of U.S. and Argentine stakes winner Fontal (by Southern Halo). Fond, who was bred by Gary Biszantz' Cobra Farm, will be sold at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky winter mixed sale in February.
