OBS Has Bigger Catalogue for Winter Mixed Sale

The Ocala Breeders' Sales Co. has catalogued 1,160 lots for its 2005 winter mixed sale, scheduled for Jan. 17-20 in Central Florida. The first two days will be consignor-preferred sessions, and the final two will be open sessions.The catalogue size is up 6.4% from 2004, when 1,090 lots were listed.This past January, the OBS auction enjoyed strong business, with a 57.6% increase in gross revenue from 2003. The average price rose 32.0% and the median grew 19.0%. The 690 horses sold grossed $7,864,000 and averaged $11,397. The median was $5,000.This year's catalogue can be viewed at OBS.com.
