Atto Mile winner Soaring Free among finalists for Canada's Sovereign Awards.
The Jockey Club of Canada announced Dec. 10 the three finalists in the divisional categories of the 30th annual Sovereign Awards, Canadian Thoroughbred racing's year-end honors.
The finalists are listed in alphabetical order.
The winners and the three finalists for Horse of the Year will be announced at the time of presentation at the Sovereign Awards Gala on Dec. 17 at the Wyndham Bristol Place Hotel in Toronto.
Champion Two-Year-Old Filly: Higher World, Simply Lovely, South Bay Cove
Champion Two-Year-Old Male: Dance With Ravens, Moonshine Justice, Wholelottabourbon
Champion Three-Year-Old Filly: Blonde Executive, Eye of the Sphynx, Regal Red
Champion Three-Year-Old Male: A Bit O'Gold, Niigon, Organ Grinder
Champion Older Female: Brass In Pocket, One For Rose, Winter Garden
Champion Older Male Horse: Mark One, Mobil, Norfolk Knight
Champion Female Turf Horse: Classic Stamp, Hour of Justice, Inish Glora
Champion Male Turf Horse: Shoal Water, Slew Valley, Soaring Free
Champion Sprinter: Blonde Executive, Chris's Bad Boy, Winter Garden
Outstanding Breeder: Adena Springs, Sam-Son Farm, Gustav Schickedanz
Outstanding Broodmare: Annasan, Native Rights, Queen of Egypt
Outstanding Jockey: Patrick Husbands, Todd Kabel, Quincy Welch
