John Lee Elected President of Turf Publicists

John Lee, director of broadcasting for the New York Racing Association, was elected president of the Turf Publicists of America, which announced its slate of officers during the Racing Industry Symposium at the University of Arizona Dec. 8.
Lee succeeds Michele Blanco, who completed a two-year term.
Eric Wing and G. D. Hieronymus were re-elected for another one-year term as vice presidents, and Jason Bulger and Mike Gathagan will fill the two other regional vice president positions and serve their first one-year terms.
Bruno Zalubil, Web site administrator at NYRA, was re-elected to a two-year term as secretary-treasurer of the TPA.
The new board will assume office immediately.
The TPA is an organization of about 200 Thoroughbred racing publicists and marketing professionals at racetracks throughout North America who share the goal of promoting the sport of Thoroughbred racing.
