(from Pimlico report)
Ramon Dominguez celebrated his 28th birthday Wednesday at Pimlico with a riding triple on the day's eight race card. Since returning to Maryland on a full-time basis on Nov. 10, Dominguez has 18 wins in 11 days, producing six multiple win afternoons.

The nation's second leading rider in wins (364) reached the wire first on the sloppy track with Formal Event ($4.60-second), Mralwaysatisfied ($4-fourth) and Purple Thistle ($33.80-sixth).

"I keep getting good mounts and that is definitely the key to making my job easier," said Dominguez. "I thought it was going to be a difficult day visibility-wise but it was clear and got better as the day went by."

Dominguez will be riding at Hollywood Park four of the next eight live days (Nov. 26-27 and Dec. 4-5). Among his mounts will be aboard a pair of Breeders' Cup winners – 2003 Sprint champ Cajun Beat in the Hollywood Turf Express Handicap (gr. IIIT) Friday and Turf winner Better Talk Now in the Hollywood Turf Cup (gr. IT) Dec. 4.
