(from Hollywood park notes)
Greek Sun, the probable favorite in the $500,000 Hollywood Derby (gr. IT) Sunday, has been taken out of the race by trainer Bobby Frankel.

Frankel was upset with a bullet six-furlong drill by the colt on the grass at Hollywood Nov. 18. Greek Sun apparently came out of it with a minor ankle injury as well.

Good Reward, trained by Shug McGaughey, and Timo, conditioned by Billy Badgett, who spent much of the year chasing Artie Schiller in the East, are at Hollywood for the race.

Good Reward, by Storm Cat out of Heavenly Prize, comes off his first stakes victory in the Storm Cat Stakes at Keeneland at one mile on turf on Oct. 10. Jerry Bailey rides. McGaughey's last Hollywood Park stakes victory came with Lass Trump in the 1984 A Gleam Handicap.

Timo has not raced since winning the Kent Breeders' Cup Handicap at Delaware Park on June 26 because of a foot injury. He has trained forwardly at Belmont Park for his comeback.

Timo, owned by C.K. Woods Stable, has won five of ten starts. In addition to the Kent, he has also won the Transylvania (gr. IIIT) at Keeneland this year. Jockey John Velazquez, the national leader in purse earnings, has the call.
