Coolmore stallion Monashee Mountain, one of the leading freshman sires, got off to quick start in Australia when his first Australian starter scored in Queensland yesterday. His daughter Roses Of Jester led every step of the way to win at five furlongs.
Monashee Mountain, an Irish group-winning son of Danzig and half-brother to Horse of the Year
Mineshaft , is the sire of three European stakes winners, including Italian group winner Le Giare. He has been relocated to Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky., for the 2005 season and will stand for $10,000. Monashee Mountain's dam, Prospectors Delite (by Mr. Prospector), is the dam of five stakes winners.
