Anasheed, a 4-year-old graded stakes-placed son of A.P. Indy, will enter stud at Charlotte Weber's Live Oak Stud near Ocala, Fla., for a fee of $5,000. He carries similar breeding to A.P. Indy's Horse of the Year son Mineshaft  .

Bred by Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Stud Management, Anasheed won or placed in six of 15 starts while racing in the U.S. and Dubai. After winning a maiden race, he ran second in the Arlington-Washington Futurity (gr. III) in his very next start. He concluded his career in the Darley silks and retired with earnings of $104,339.

Anasheed's dam, multiple European champion Flagbird (by Nureyev), is a half-sister to six stakes winners, including Mineshaft's dam.
