After winning a maiden race, he ran second in the Arlington-Washington Futurity (gr. III) in his very next start. He concluded his career in the Darley silks and retired with earnings of $104,339.
Anasheed's dam, multiple European champion Flagbird (by Nureyev), is a half-sister to six stakes winners, including Mineshaft's dam.
