Mazel Trick to Reigle Heir in Pennsylvania

Mazel Trick, one of the leading freshman sires in 2003 and currently ranked fourth on the second-crop list, will relocate to Thomas Reigle's Reigle Heir Farms near Grantville, Pa.
A track-record setter at Hollywood Park, Mazel Trick has 2004 progeny earnings of $1.7 million. Last year, he was represented by 14 juvenile winners and ranked 10th on the first-crop sire list by progeny earnings.
Mazel Trick has sired four runners that have won or placed in stakes. Ontheqt is a two-time stakes winner who has earned $285,515, and both Tricky Taboo and Juventus are graded stakes-placed. Tricky Taboo ran second in this year's Lane's End Stakes (gr. II). For his career, Mazel Trick has sired the earners of $2.2 million.
Mazel Trick, a 9-year-old son of Phone Trick out of the Ramahorn mare Mazatleca, set a track record of 1:19.97 for seven furlongs in the Triple Bend Breeders' Cup Handicap Invitational Handicap (gr. II) and won two other graded stakes. A half-brother to grade I winner Wild Escapade, Mazel Trick will remain the property of a syndicate and stand for $5,000. He previously stood at Brereton C. Jones' Airdrie Stud near Midway, Ky.
