Cetewayo, a homebred turf millionaire for Dr. John Chandler, will enter stud at Judith Barrett's Godstone Farm near Pine Grove, Pa.
Named after a great Zulu leader, Cetewayo won eight stakes at eight different tracks. Five of them came in graded events, including the Sword Dancer Invitational Handicap (gr. IT) at Saratoga and the Gulfstream Park Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. IT).
Cetewayo, a 10-year-old by His Majesty out of the Diesis mare Aletta Maria, retired with 11 wins from 37 starts while trained most of his career by Michael Dickinson. He will stand for $2,500, with special consideration to Pennsylvania mares.
