Bolsa, an 8-year-old daughter of Mr. Prospector in foal to Deputy Commander brought a top price of $400,000 during Monday's session of Keeneland's November Breeding Stock Sale.

Bolsa, a dark bay or brown mare out the In Reality mare Mochila, the dam of grade I stakes winner Serape, was purchased by Gulf Coast LLC from Middlebrook Farm, agent.

Keeneland reported 252 horses sold Monday for a gross of $7,441,400, an average of $29,529 and a median of $22,000. During the comparable session last year, 270 horses sold for $5,944,700, an average of $22,017 and a median of $16,000. The 72 horses that did not attain their reserve prices represented 22.2% of the total offered, compared with a 15.6% RNA for the same session in 2003.

With four sessions remaining in the 12-day auction, 1,944 horses have been sold for $264,659,300, an average of $136,142 and a median of $52,000. At this point in the sale last year, 1,931 horses had been sold for $228,574,200, an average of $118,371 and a median of $50,000.

Monday's top price for a weanling was the $210,000 bid from WinStar Farm for Victory Gallop colt from the consignment of Doug Arnold's Buck Pond. The weanling was produced from the unraced Hennessy mare Hennessy Waltz.
