Smarty Jones Featured at Pennsylvania Museum

Smarty Jones, winner of the 2004 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness Stakes (gr. I), is the subject of an exhibit that opens Nov. 16 at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, the state capital.
The accomplishments of Pennsylvania-bred Smarty Jones, owned by Roy and Patricia Chapman of the Keystone state, will be celebrated by the museum through April 3, 2005. The exhibit includes photographs and artifacts, including the Derby and Preakness trophies; and a behind-the-scenes look at the horse and the people associated with him.
The musuem covers all aspects of Pennsylvania history and holds significant collections that relate to some of America's most well-known events and individuals. It's located next to the state Capitol building at 300 North St.
The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sundays from noon-5 p.m. The phone number is 717-787-4980.
